Who Is The Harlot?

Revelation 17 clearly tells us of the harlot and alludes to the chaos she has caused and the distruction she suffers, but exactly who is the harlot?

The harlot is lavished in fine linens and jewellry and the luxuries of the world. The harlot is also sitting on a beast of scarlet full of blasphemous names with seven heads and ten horns. Now the beast with its seven heads and ten horns is a symbol for the rulers appointed by the antichrist and the beast is the antichrist this is told to us in the scriptures and the harlot is supported by them. As John is brought close to the harlot it is written on her "BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH," (17:5). Now this is where many are lead off the path. They think of this as the rebuilt city of Babylon the center of the antichrist's kingdom, however it is a spiritual Babylon. The spirit of Babylon is the same spirit in the harlot. In Revelation 17:16 "And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire." (17:17) "For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God should be fulfilled." Now to be supported by all these rulers it would need to be more than a city, it would need to be an entire system with the ideas and beliefs and spirit birthed by this city. In chapter 18 we are told that all nations and all kings and all merchants were made drunk and made wealthy by her, something one city alone is not able to achive. So what sort of system could make the entire world "commit acts of immorality" with it on such a large scale causing "sins to pile up as high as heaven,"? What would be such an abomination that the Lord Himself, would send the antichrist against the very institution he supports and in turn helped him rise to power in order to bring God's ultimate judgement?

This is the very spirit of deseption itself in the form of sloth, complacency, and utter pride itself at the root of it all. The very spirit that says 'I am fine in whatever I do,' and 'I have no master and no need to change,' and 'All roads lead to heaven who are you to tell me I am wrong.' It is the same spirit that has the 'church' today in America sitting in the pew numb from the neck up and then going out and catching the game and having a beer, living together and having children and maybe by the third we will get married, and lets go to this party I know there will be all sorts of booze and i bet we can score some chicks I mean its cool we wont remember it after we wake up next to.... whoever besides we are in college (all the more frequently high school) its our time to have fun right. The 'church' in America today has become the apostate church all too often warned about in the Bible, that lukewarm 'church' Jesus says makes Him sick and He will vomit it out of His mouth. See when I say lukewarm and when I say pride this is what I mean, you have your Christians who are on fire for God, going out and doing the work God set forth for us to do be it preaching or teaching or supporting those who do, but in all ways honoring Him without bending the knee to anything else and making sure others know it. Then you have the cold, the athiests or other religious groups who are against God and do not want to hear a single bit of what you have to say. Now this is what I mean by lukewarm, the person who goes to church and listens to what the pastor says but never opens a Bible to see if its right, never does what the Bible commands, never does as the 'pastor' half heartedly suggests (which isn't much and nowhere near what the Bible demands), let alone follows God no matter what even to the point of hardships. There are 51 countries where to be a Christian means jail time if you are caught and more than 10 of them it is a death sentence. There are people who have machetes pointed at them and asked to repeat one phrase 'allah is god and mohammed is his prophet,' and they will be allowed to leave alive (it is hard to even type the phrase I want to punch my computer screen). How many of you 'good church going christians' can honestly say you would look them in the eyes and say 'There is only one God and His prophet is Jesus the Christ and may He have mercy and blessings on you,'? THEY DO IT!!! They stand for Jesus knowing they are about to get hacked or shot to death and they do it with no fear because they know where they are heading. 14-year-old girls in Indonesia are beheaded, men and especially women in the middle easter muslim cuntries are stoned or burned to death, bombs in Egypt and Palestine and India, machetes in African countries, and beatings and bullets in Indonesia, India, and China all for their unrelenting faith in Jesus; and Americans wont even give 2% of their income without a tax receipt and you think you are ok before a holy and just God. See where the pride comes in now? YOU, OH APOSTATE 'CHURCH' HAVE BEEN FOUND GUILTY BEFORE GOD, AND EVEN IN YOUR COMPLACENT, ARROGANCE AND COMFORT, WILL BE TORN ASUNDER BY THE BEING YOU CREATE TO BRING PEACE AND LIFT UP AS A FALSE 'GOD'! YOUR ARTIFICIAL 'SAVIOR'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your 'church' dosn't need a 501.c3 or three multi-million dollar facilities showing the same 'pastor' on a jumbo screen in his three-piece suit telling you how his god can give you a rolex and a private jet like him. It needs the Bible and the Spirit of God, a Church is the people and the building is just a building. Several Christians in the countries listed above meet in safe houses or underground in basements or caves or out in fields and the jungles for Church and treasure whats left of their burned and torn up Bibles and praise God like it is their last day on earth because they never know when it might actually be their last day. We dont know even in America, Jesus said it wasn't even for the Son to know when He would return only the Father knows, so why act like we have years and years and years. Yet many of those who meet in secret still take their faith to others which is what gets them killed, they just don't hold Church public to try and keep the others safe and growing and able to work in the ministry that much longer.

How sad and pathetic can our 'church' in America get, this once great land where people were free and God moved mighty, then we kicked Him out and said 'We got this God don't worry we can handle it on our own,' and now we dare to say 'God bless America,' when we don't allow Him in. The change is individual America, will you chose to follow God and try your hardest to reclaim this stolen nation, or will you continue to bed with the harlot, the apostate church, and share in her pride and spread the poison of her lies? "See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the LORD your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it. “But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it. “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.” (Deuteronomy 30:15-20)
